SAIC MOTOR Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. will provide a maintenance service according to the following clauses, conditions and limitations. With the exception of legislative regulations, this maintenance service is the only responsibility undertaken by SAIC MOTOR Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

WARRANTY PERIOD

1. MG Motor provides a new car with 84 months or 150,000 km (whichever is sooner) car load quality warranty period.

2. Car load quality warranty commences on the day the vehicle is sold to its first end user (date of purchase invoice). The date and odometer reading must be recorded on the Quality Warranty Card included in this Service Portfolio, and handed to the owner.

3. Parts replacement during the quality warranty period will not alter the car load warranty period. The warranty of replaced parts will end when the car load warranty period ends.

MG Motor has committed itself to providing the warranty period of 96 months or 180,000 km (whichever is sooner) for the high-voltage battery pack; 96 months or 160,000 km (whichever is sooner) for drive motor, intelligent motor control unit (IMCU) and secondary axle motor controller (SAC) (if equipped) in the key components of new energy vehicles.

MG Motor accredits only MG Authorised Dealer to provide the vehicle warranty and maintenance. Any maintenance service of MG vehicles should only be carried out by MG Authorised Dealer.

Warranty conditions require that:

1. All claims are notified to, and carried out by, MG Authorised Dealer during the Warranty period.
2. All repairs, damage rectification, maintenance or fitting of replacement parts and accessories are carried out by MG Authorised Dealer and in accordance with his instructions.
3. The owner must produce a valid Quality Warranty Card.
4. Any replaced parts are the property of MG Authorised Dealer.
5. All maintenance operation must be carried out according to Maintenance Plan.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Warranty Exceptions:

1. Any failure caused by incorrect storage methods, such as battery becoming discharged or deterioration of paintwork caused by the environment.

2. Those items which require replacement or maintenance due to damage or which have been subjected to fair wear and tear e.g. tyres, brake pads, wiper blades etc.

3. Any failure caused by lack of maintenance or not using oil, lubricants or coolant as recommended in the Owner Manual. Damage caused by not conforming to the maintenance instructions in the Owner Manual.

4. Damage caused by falling substances (chemical substances, acid rain), stones, hail, lightning, earthquake, floods, etc.

5. Vehicle damage caused by using products not Authorised by MG Motor.

6. Damage caused by collision, fire, explosion, theft or attempted theft, adverse weather conditions, traffic accident, riots or any act unintent but illegal.

7. Damage caused by inappropriate use and poor maintenance, including overloading or racing.

8. Damage caused by modifications to the vehicle (including body, chassis, power train, electronic or other systems).

9. Any vehicle that has had the odometer disconnected or changed (other than a change by MG Authorised Dealer as a result of a repair or adjustment carried out under the Car Load Quality Warranty).

10. Any financial expenditure which is out of scope of the Car Load Quality Warranty, such as loss of vehicle use, loss of wages, inconvenience, storage costs, cost of vehicle rental, accommodation, meals or travel expenses.

11. Any repair and/or refit the vehicle after sold that is required for the car to meet local government legislation, except those required by law or stipulated by MG Motor.

12. Damage caused by improper disposal while vehicle problem occurs.

13. Any reparation and maintenance are carried out by unauthorised dealer.

Warranty Scope:

1. Guarantees repair, replacement or adjustment, free of charge, by MG Authorised Dealer, of any part which fails during the warranty period, as a result of a manufacturing or material defect. Maintenance and repair procedures must use new or remanufactured parts approved by MG Motor.

2. If the vehicle cannot be driven because of a defective component which is covered by the Car Load Quality Warranty, during the Warranty period, it should be recovered to the nearest MG Authorised Dealer immediately to carry out repairs. Allow MG Authorised Dealer a reasonable amount of time to carry out the repair.

SAIC MOTOR Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. provides warranty service only for new MG vehicles produced or sold by agencies duly authorised by SAIC MOTOR Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

WARRANTY PERIOD

1. The quality assurance period is 5 years or Unlimited Mileage for Vehicle Warranty and 7 years or Unlimited Mileage for Powertrains warranty.

2. The warranty period of 12v battery is 1 year or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.

3. Any spare parts purchased and replaced at MG Authorised Service Dealers will be entitled to a warranty of 1 year or 20,000km whichever comes first.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Warranty Exceptions:

1. The maintenance or repair costs resulted from vehicle operation, for example, costs for four-wheel alignment, tyre replacement, cleaning, polishing and replacement of various lubricants, as well as costs incurred by replacement of various consumables, such as filters, wiper blade, fuse, spark plug, lamp bulb, brake disc, clutch disc, belt, carbon brush, etc.

2. The vehicle has never been inspected by the designated after-sales service center or authorised agency within the warranty period specified by MG or not inspected based on the specified time limit.

3. The vehicle is modified beyond the normal usage requirements, for example, auto racing, overloading, etc.

4. Vehicles served as taxis, or for rental or commercial use are not eligible for warranty.

5. Removal of parts.

6. The incorrect usage mentioned in the User Manual.

7. Mounted or repaired by a repairer other than those authorised by SAIC MOTOR Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

8. Losses caused by use of non-genuine accessories, fuel or other fluid products without the recommendation of SAIC MOTOR Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

9. After the inspection, there is no damage in the windshield, rear window and all door windows due to negligence of the factory.

10. Losses caused by smoke, medicine, bird droppings, salt and alkali, and stone chips.

11. Paint loss (dimming, color shedding or fading) or rust caused by improper maintenance, incorrect usage or polishing, and vehicle parking at an incorrect site.

12. Towing fee, accommodation fee, charge for loss of working time, and other business losses and so on.

13. Losses caused by various disasters, for example: earthquake, fire, flood, traffic accident, robbery, etc.

Note:

* If the prescribed period is exceeded, it is deemed as automatic waiver of rights.
