KUALA LUMPUR, 6 July 2026– SAIC Motor Malaysia recently supported an MG owners’ gathering, bringing together 66 MG owners from the Northern region for a memorable gathering at Langkawi. Organised by MG Alor Setar, the gathering marked the largest MG owners’ gathering ever held in Northern Malaysia and underscores the growing passion for the marque among Malaysian motorists.

The gathering comprised of 55 MG5, nine MG HS SUVs, one MG4 electric hatchback and MG Cyberster roadster respectively, with approximately 200 participants including family members and friends joining the weekend gathering. The event provided an opportunity for owners to showcase their vehicles, exchange ownership experiences and strengthen friendships forged through their shared enthusiasm for the MG brand.

Participants also had the opportunity to test drive the newly locally assembled MGS5 EV, allowing them to experience first-hand the latest additions to MG’s line-up.

Emory Qi, Managing Director of SAIC Motor Malaysia, welcomed the growing momentum of MG communities beyond the Klang Valley and reaffirmed the company’s support for dealer-led initiatives.

Qi added that the Langkawi gathering represents an important milestone for the MG community in Malaysia.
