KUALA LUMPUR, 5 June 2026 – SAIC Motor Malaysia is set to make a strong impression at the KL International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026), taking place from 12 to 21 June 2026 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, with a showcase that signals the MG brand’s next chapter in electrified and premium mobility for the Malaysian market.
Among the highlights is the all-new compact MG ZS SUV, which comes in two variants, i.e. Hybrid+ and turbocharged powertrain, signalling MG’s broader product strategy as it expands its range to meet the evolving needs of Malaysian drivers. Visitors will also get an early look at the brand’s new design direction, which brings together contemporary styling, advanced technology and improved efficiency in support of MG’s continued push towards accessible, future-ready mobility.
There will also be a special appearance by Jozef Kabaň, Vice President of the Global Design Center, SAIC Motor, who will host a Design Language Briefing Session to share insights into the design philosophy and creative vision shaping the next generation of MG vehicles.
KLIMS 2026 will also mark the first appearance of IM (Intelligence in Motion) in Malaysia, introducing visitors to MG’s premium, luxury-focused sub-brand. Taking centre stage is the IM6, a premium, fully electric smart SUV that represents a more elevated expression of innovation, design and intelligent mobility, offering a glimpse into the future direction of the SAIC portfolio.
The showcase underscores MG’s ambition to broaden its appeal across multiple segments while strengthening its position in an increasingly dynamic automotive landscape. From electrified urban mobility to premium EV innovation, the brand’s presence at KLIMS 2026 offers consumers, media and industry stakeholders a closer look at what lies ahead.
Beyond the exciting showcases, visitors to the MG booth at KLIMS can enjoy interactive activities and participate in a social media contest for an opportunity to win exciting prizes. Enhancing the experience further, bi-hourly catwalk performances alongside the vehicle displays will feature models elegantly strutting and posing in the national kebaya, symbolising the seamless integration of Malaysian culture into the brand experience. Visitors will also have the opportunity to test drive the MG ZS Hybrid+ and MGS5 EV, with a complimentary cup of coffee offered to everyone who takes any MG model for a test drive.
MG enthusiasts will also be treated to a special showcase of MG vehicles spanning from classic models to the brand’s current EV line-up, including the all-electric Cyberster, on 14 June. The showcase will see more than 40 MG Club members gathering at KLIMS to display their cars in celebration of the marque’s heritage and evolution.
