MG4: Live Electric

The MG4 is set to revolutionize the Malaysian automotive market with its all-electric hatchback design, providing customers with affordable zero-emission motoring without compromising on performance. The range will consist of four specifications at launch: the MG4 Standard, MG4 Lux, Lux Extended Range, and the powerful MG4 XPOWER.

MG4 has been designed to maximise battery efficiency, with concerted efforts to further reduce weights and allow scalable range and performance for a wide variety of customer requirements, offering enhanced interior space and luggage capacity. Battery capacities are available from 51kWh to 77kWh and the MG4 EV will be capable of between 350km to 520km range on the WLTP cycle.

With a wheelbase of 2,705mm, length of 4,287 mm, a width of 1,836 mm and just 1,504 mm in height, the five-door hatchback is perfectly suited to its competitive environment. The low height of the car is made possible by its particularly flat battery. The MG4 uses the flattest battery developed to-date; with a height of just 110 mm, it’s even the thinnest battery in its class.

The MG4 offers a comfortable and spacious cabin with enough space for a family of five, while maintaining sleek and sporty proportions. The luggage compartment capacity is between 363 and 1,177 litres by volume. In addition, its balanced 50:50 weight distribution allows better handling, more direct steering movements and fast cornering. In combination with rear-wheel drive, the new MG4 ensures optimum driving pleasure.

MG PILOT

The MG4 uses several advanced driver assistance and safety systems. In addition to Front Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) (with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection), all versions also offer Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assistance (TJA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA) and Intelligent High Beam Assist as standard, grouped under the name MG Pilot.

While the MG4 Lux, Extended Range and XPOWER, MG Pilot also boasts Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Lane Change Assist (LCA). In addition, it warns for crossing traffic behind the vehicle thanks to Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and for oncoming traffic when opening the doors due to Door Opening Warning (DOW). A 360-degree camera shows the driver the environment all around the MG4 on the display.

MG iSMART – ‘Hello MG’

MG iSMART brings cutting-edge technology to your fingertips, revolutionizing your driving experience with unparalleled convenience, safety, and connectivity. With a simple “Hello MG,” you can activate the voice command system and effortlessly control various functions, enhancing both convenience and safety while on the road.

MG iSMART can remotely start your car and turn on the air-conditioning via the user’s mobile device. The application can preset the destination on the onboard navigation system so it can assist the driver to start the journey immediately. Aside from real-time vehicle information such as fuel level, battery condition or brake condition, one reassuring feature is that in case of unusual vehicle movements, the application can instantly notify the use of suspected car theft.

MG Care

More peace of mind comes as standard with the MG4. The all-electric MG4 comes with 7 years or 150,000km mileage (whichever comes first) warranty on vehicle and 8 years or 180,000km (whichever comes first) warranty on battery.

Available Colours

Seven colours will be available namely the Volcano Orange, Holborn Blue, Dynamic Red, Arctic White, Camden Grey, Black Pearl, Monument Silver, and an exclusive matte option of Racing Green for the MG4 XPOWER. Additionally, the MG4 Lux and Extended Range are available with a two-tone black roof.
